Bio
Renee Davis is a seasoned nonprofit leader with 18 years of experience guiding organizations through critical transitions and periods of growth. As the Interim Executive Director for Green City Market, she partners with staff and board to maintain strong connections with sustainable farmers, expand access to locally grown food, and foster education about sustainable food systems throughout Chicago.
Renowned for her strategic approach to community engagement and organizational development, Renee has collaborated with organizations such as Lurie Children’s Hospital, the Art Institute, The Nature Conservancy, FamilyCook Productions, and many others to create bold, relationship-driven strategies that deliver lasting impact. Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Miami University of Ohio and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from DePaul University. She is passionate about helping nonprofits thrive through data-driven decision-making and innovative philanthropy.
Renee resides in Chicago’s western suburbs with her husband, three children, and their energetic boxer pup. She enjoys adventure travel (most recently trekking through Peru!), playing tennis, and experimenting with new recipes alongside her three favorite sous chefs: her kids.
